What we do

Our greatest strength

g3.png Two kinds of software development models prevail in the proprietary software market: on the one hand there is shrink-wrapped software that was developed to satisfy the needs of the average person or business; on the other there are ad hoc systems developed to get a customer out of a tight spot. The former don't cover the specific needs of each customer; the latter are, in general, seriously lacking in stability, robustness, architecture and usability.

We aim to cover the needs of those who need a system or application that is stable, robust, well structured, usable, and custom-built. This is possible using Free Software, because we reuse tools that have proven both trustworthy and ready to use, enabling us to develop applications that retain their value over time.

In Except we know that developing software has social consequences, and that Free Software is the only way to build software that promotes the sustainable growth of our community.

Free Software typically uses an agile development process, surpasses high quality standards, encourages technological independence, rewards real effort, and allows us to compete on a level playing field.

Both the tools we use and the products we create are Free Software. This means that the software we deliver enables our customers to use it under any conditions, redistribute it, and hire third parties to inspect and modify it. Our products are delivered with full source code, open to be inspected by anybody the customer might chose to verify its qualities.
